It also provides a valuable research tool to assist the reader in determining the approximate year of manufacture and in some cases the original configuration of a particular gun.

TERRY ALLEN. Mr. Allen is a professional photographer from Athens, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1982 and is recognized as one of America's leading firearms photographers. His photographs have appeared in America's leading magazines and periodicals including among others the Double Gun Journal, the Shooting Sportsman and Sporting Classics magazines. Mr. Allen was the primary photographer for the book and took nearly all the gun pictures that appear throughout the book.
