The chapter on production and serial numbers includes a vast array of statistical data and analysis, recording for history the remarkable record achieved by America's most popular side by side shotgun. It also provides a valuable research tool to assist the reader in determining the approximate year of manufacture and in some cases the original configuration of a particular gun.
Finally and perhaps best of all, the book itself is organized as a Pathfinder. Beginning with the table of contents, the reader is quickly taken to the immediate subject matter of interest and concludes with an exhaustive and detailed index designed for the serious researcher.
TERRY ALLEN. Mr. Allen is a professional photographer from Athens, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1982 and is recognized as one of America's leading firearms photographers. His photographs have appeared in America's leading magazines and periodicals including among others the Double Gun Journal, the Shooting Sportsman and Sporting Classics magazines. Mr. Allen was the primary photographer for the book and took nearly all the gun pictures that appear throughout the book.
